I'm a Swiss local, meaning I grew up in Switzerland, I was born in Switzerland and of course I know many, many, places that are really beautiful and there are not many or too many tourists. The problem is that...let’s say Titlis. Titlis is very famous everywhere in the world and every tour guide or the official tour guides from Swiss Tourism let's say or travel agencies send the tourists always to Titlis. And why is that so? Because Titlis is promoted with marketing. Meaning people abroad hear about Titlis because they advertise Titlis but honestly, Titlis is not even next to or not even near to a very beautiful place in Switzerland.

Somehow, I think it's just the official tourism they try to keep mass tourism at few single places, so they send all the tourists to the same places like Titlis. That's why everyone goes to Titlis not because it's the most beautiful place. My wife has been living here since 10 years, she's Indonesian and in Indonesia she was at that time a professional tour leader. And every time she take pictures and she sends me the pictures, shows me the pictures I'm still amazed how many beautiful places we have in Switzerland that I, as a local, had never visited yet. Yeah, and I'm still amazed how different landscapes can be in Switzerland, and how many beautiful places we have.
